I was featured in this Gallery in 2024. The image selected was one of an area I had photographed many times but without capturing this sort of frozen moment that was almost a still from a film or a Bilboard advert…at least it had that vibe. Despite being right in front of the passing crowd no looked in my direction which I think adds to it’s feel. This was the first Street Photography exhibition I won and started what turned out to be a pivotal year.
“Street photography is a unique art form associated with a photographer’s skill in capturing a moment that would have gone unseen without their intervention. A street photographer thrives in a time and place where the mundane transforms into the extraordinary, with their surroundings serving as a canvas for artistic expression. Whether it’s capturing the energy of bustling streets or the quiet solitude of hidden alleyways, we invite you to share your vision of the human condition with us.” Said the Call for entries. “Energy of bustling streets” is probably what did it…
I am about to enter this year’s call, wish me luck.
