◼ “There is literally no expiry date on cool; go get him grandpa!

◼ Don’t let the fast shutter fool you, this guy was doing at least 65 miles an hour!

◼ I was actually shooting the clocks in Canary Wharf for the umpteenth time trying to get something unique and different from what I’ve done before, and I saw this guy exit the shopping centre with squealing of tyres, slalom through the crowd, and take off at top speed, it was actually hilarious.

◼ I really need to work on looking like I am still on the pitch, and not eating burgers and swigging lager in the stands.

◼ “Your name’s not down you’re not coming in!”

◼ Candid portraits are the best. This dude didn’t move an eyelid when he saw me. Took the first shot nothing, so I went for this.

◼ I said thanks with the universal thumbs up sign, and he said – nothing at all.

◼ The question is, what is behind door of No.75…

◼ “Grubs up men! Fall in…” [or whatever military parlance makes me sound like I know what **** I’m talking about]

◼ From a few years back, been hiding out on a spare drive but the bail bondsman doesn’t mess around for wanted Chefs.

◼ This gentleman was on well-earned break at the back of restaurant at the loading bay with just the right amount sunshine to make the shot look like I meant it all up and down [I had an idea, just not this idea].

◼ The candid shot was a washout, but the dude looked so Cheflike I stopped for the street portrait. If I cropped tighter, you would have guess studio light, right? lol

◼ “I’m not supposed to be here…”

◼ Sometimes I see the shot, I’m quick enough to get the shot.  Or I see the shot and the ball passes directly under my outstretched foot, bye.  And every now and then the shot comes together like a collage.

◼ I saw this dude shouting at the phone, the background was interesting, I went for the shot.

◼ He saw me at the last minute and looked up – and it was a different shot.

◼ And then the woman walks up staring at me and then stares at what I’m staring at and it’s a different shot again. So there you have it, the making of another slice of life…

◼ “I don’t care how hard it’s raining you are not coming under my umbrella, and that’s final”

◼ Shooting in the rain, oh what fun. Took this a couple of years ago now so I forget if it was cold, but it looks it. I was definitely balancing an umbrella, I’m too shortsighted to put another layer over my camera LCD.

◼ I get the impression that each character in the shot has their own mini story to tell and yet they somehow weave into the whole…

◼ “When animals love you that is one thing, but when fruit loves you…!! Sheesh.”

◼ Summer summer summer, what a lovely distant thought. The Lane was absolutely packed and it was boiling, the guys selling fresh juice on this store were in their element.

◼ I stalked this young woman around the stall  trying to get the kind of shot I knew was there, and I managed two or three other shots that were close to what I had in mind. I just never expected there would be hanging fruit… so this one was unique.
